I am a Texas born photographer, who fell in love with the vast landscapes of West Texas during a middle school trip to Big Bend National Park at the age of 12. This inspired me to explore many of our nation's wild and scenic places in my 20's and 30's. During a trip to Canyonlands National Park in 2013, I was inspired to light the interior of an old rancher's shack at dusk, incorporating it as the main subject matter within the surrounding landscape. This spurred a love for night photography, and a passion for turning what may seem like unsightly old structures in broad daylight, into works of art under the night sky. Careful planning goes into the shooting of all of my photos, taking into consideration everything from dusk's glow on the horizon to the moon's phase and angle of lighting on my subject matter. This attention to timing allows for me to shoot single exposure images with very little post processing.
